Seminar "Organization of production and marketing of organic berries in transboundary regions of Ukraine and Belarus"

At the seminar, researcher Irina Zborina familiarized the participants with the current state of the market of organic berries in the Republic of Belarus, and the director of the regional consulting and educational center in Rovno, Petr Skripchuk, spoke about modern innovative technologies for processing berries.

Tatiana M. Karbanovich, Deputy Head of the Plant Management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, also spoke at the seminar. The distinguished guest shared with the audience information on the current state of the legislative framework in the field of organic production and the immediate prospects for its development.

Professor Józef Tybursky - associate Professor at the Department of Agro-Ecosystems (University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland) - shared the experience of organic production in Poland with the participants of the seminar and was pleased to answer all questions from interested students.

Volodymyr  Batchenko, Senior Researcher of the National Natural Park “Pivnіchne Podіllya” (Ukraine) - in his report outlined the main aspects of the cultivation of cranberries in the territory of Little Polesye in Ukraine.

At the end of the seminar, Vsevolod Genin, co-founder of OneSoil, presented a web-based platform for monitoring the state of the fields and determining the doses of fertilizers for their accurate and differentiated application.

At the end of the seminar, all participants received certificates of appreciation and the book "Recommendations for the production of organic berries in the cross-border areas of Ukraine and Belarus (taking into account the requirements of EU standards)." These recommendations were prepared by the project science teachers in collaboration with its experts and consultants - representatives of successful farms in the field of berries and organic products.
