Winning a cross-border competition for organic business ideas

On December 26, 2018, a cross-border competition organized within the European Union’s international technical assistance project “Formation of the business environment for the production of organic berries in the cross-border areas of Ukraine and Belarus” ended. Three cluster members submitted their business ideas to the competition and won prizes.

Nikolai Poleshko (farm "FruitGolden") won the first place in the nomination "Creation of organic berries production in the cross-border areas of Ukraine and Belarus" with his project on growing organic blueberries in containers.

In the same nomination, 2nd place went to Alexander Borichevsky (farm "Yagzenda") with the project of laying a berry plantation, 10 hectares farm (blueberries, raspberries).

Igor Volodko (head of farm "Agrofarm") took the 1st place in the nomination "Processing, storage of organic berries", presenting the "Strawberry processing optimization project for growing organic berries".

Winners will receive 15 blueberry seedlings for the 1st place and 10 seedlings for the second.
